Feb. 22nd, 2005 05:10 pmMy mouth feels strange.
I got a baby tooth pulled this morning. It was my last one and I didn't even realize I still had any baby teeth until last year when my dad brought my brother and me to talk to different orthodontists and choose who we wanted to go to. But yeah, I've never had anything done to my mouth that required novocaine so it was a new experience having a needle pushed into my gum. The whole tooth removing wasn't bad, it was the stupid two hour wait. My mom and I got to the place at 10:30 this morning, which is when my appointment was supposed to be at. It took until 11:20 for me to be called out of the waiting room and then the orthodontist was removing two teeth from someone else, so I had to wait until 11:40 or so for him to come in and check my braces and remove the bracket on the baby tooth. Then he was called away again to do something to one of his other patients. It was 12:15 when I was given the novocaine. And then it took 5 minutes for my gums to numb and a minute for him to pull the tooth. So it took all of six minutes to actually get the tooth removed, but I had to wait two hours? My mom and I got back home at 12:30. Then my gum bled for nearly two more hours. And now there's a hole in my mouth.
I've solved the Rubik's cube a good number of times. And I only have one more step to memorize. I can do everything else without using the cheat sheet. I'm not anywhere as good as Katy is right now, but I can do it within ten minutes if I don't screw up.
