Someone give me an english speech topic as I'm failing at doing either of my bigger homework assignments tonight. We're supposed to give a 5-7 minute speech on any topic of our choice and I can't think of any topics I'd be willing to talk about in front of my class. But I need to choose a topic at least tonight as I need to write an outline by tomorrow. And I also need to prepare my science presentation for tomorrow, but let's not talk about that.

A speech? How interesting. Well, is there any sort of philosophical question that's been on your mind lately? Anything you've been sort of wondering or thinking about? You could probably just have a contemplative speech, throwing rhetorical food for thought out to the crowd.

One topic that comes to me, if it were my assignment--is to talk about how the anime subculture brings people together. I'm not sure how closely that effects you, though...but just stuff like that. Things in your life that catch your attention--who says it needs to be a formal speech? It can be a thoughtful, flexible one. :3

Thanks. I'll probably throw something together during lunch as it's only the outline due tomorrow and I really need to work on my presentation tonight.

The one thing I forgot to mention is that it's supposed to be a persuasive speech although it's not as though that limits it much. And the thing is that I'm really tempted to do something completely random like persuade my class that cats will rule the world in 20 years or something as I've been writing too many formal, serious things lately, but I dunno.
