I dislike this period of a couple weeks before school starts. Why? Because my mind keeps coming back to school and the fact that summer's almost over. And I guess this post is my way of saying I want my schedule. I want to know whether I got into the two APs I signed up for and whether enough people signed up for Classics for it to be offered and who my new homeroom teacher is (as Foisy retired) and who the new spanish teachers are (as both Foisy and Lopez left) and etc. And then I'd like to know who's in my classes and whether I know who my teachers are and whether I need to go to the guidance office to change anything. And I realize that we didn't get our schedules until the 28th of August last year (yes I did check when I updated my lj about it last year...), but Freshman Orientation is Monday (I only know this because I went to the Arlington Public Schools website to see if they mentioned when schedules will be sent out, which it didn't, but it did mention when Freshman Orientation was. Helpful...) and from what I remember, they have at least the froshies' schedules ready for that, but whatever.

I guess the purpose of this post is to mention that I'm back from New York and the two weeks in the Adirondacks with my family that somehow led to really screwed up dreams, half of which were about school which led to the previous paragraph...

And yes, I know I'm rambling and using run-on sentences, but I've been away from my computer for two weeks, what do you expect?

And now back to catching up on lj posts and news from the past two weeks. And maybe finishing the Poisonwood Bible, but probably not the last one for another week or three.

You can not get into APs that you sign up for? Why would that happen?

I dunno. But once you wake up from a dream where you enter a classroom for AP English and are told by the teacher that you aren't actually in their class you get to thinking. I mean like everyone signed up for AP English, so it seems like there would be a limit at some point. And I realize with two teachers, each teaching four classes with somewhere around twenty or thirty students, our whole grade could be in AP English without that limit being reached, but I dunno. Having sortofnightmares (as in not actual scary someone's going to kill me nightmares, but dreams of bad situations) about school for eight nights in a row brought doubts and worries and problems that could come up to my mind.

Ok, that works. And the thing is once I start thinking about school, I can figure out that all my worries are irrational, but I still want to confirm that with my schedule. But ya, we should get together. Are you doing anything this week?

Thanks. It was made by teh_indy. Although it's not actually new, I just haven't used it since I uploaded it. But I was using different icons for all my other replies, so I decided to continue doing that.

Ya, you would hope I found at least some good icons after spending like a whole day sorting through teh_indy's and other people's icons and saving the ones I liked. And after I started using them, a lot of people have commented saying icon love or whatever, so those were twelve hours I didn't completely waste this summer...

No, as I dislike Howell and haven't heard anything good about the class. I'm taking AP Chem and there wasn't summer work for that. I don't think there was any summer work for any of the science courses, but don't hold me to that.

Nope, not yet. I also haven't done any of my summer homework, aside from reading half of Mountains Beond Mountains, so if you wanna fill me in on a couple of the books, it'd be fine. >:D
