She hasn't been eating without throwing up or drinking enough for almost two weeks now. She got really thin and today my mom noticed her being restless and uncomfortable and so she took Sophie to the vet.
Sophie was dehydrated and had a tumor. They could have operated on her, but the vet didn't want to do so because Sophie was too thin. The other option was to put her to sleep. My mom thought it would be best and chose to put her to sleep. My mom thought she was 17 or 18, but she and Freddy are really 19. Our old cat Rosalie was put to sleep when she was 21 because she had bladder problems. And Rosalie's sister Molly was killed by a car before I was born.
My parents got Freddy and Sophie after Molly died and then we got Georgie and Tiger after Rosalie was put to sleep.
