I've never fainted before. Strange experience that is. So I got two shots today, a flu shot and the first HPV vaccine, and it was all fine and good until my mom and I were walking out into the waiting area, about to leave. And then my vision blurred, I got really dizzy and fainted. I mentioned to my mom before I fainted that I was feeling really dizzy and she says I sounded so normal saying it that she didn't think anything was actually wrong, except then I fainted. I was brought back into the room and told to lie down for 15 minutes. And then I was told to sit up and was given juice, which had a really strange combination of fruits, and told to wait for another 5 minutes before trying to walk. My heart rate and blood pressure and O2 stats were checked and then we finally left.

Fun times...

It wasn't caused by the shots, or at least they didn't think it was, but more of caused by the anxiety of getting shots and lack of food beforehand. They weren't sure why I fainted exactly, just mentioned it happens sometimes and that it wasn't anything to be worried about.

Awww, I'm so sorry! Fainting sucks...at least, when you're not at home. :S At least it seems like it turned out alright... o.o;;

In my experience, fainting isn't all that cool when you're at home, either. Though obviously much worse when you're out.
