I'm bored. Bored as hell. That doesn't actually make sense because hell wouldn't really be boring. So what other word can I use? Bored as a snake? Snakes aren't boring either. How about bored as History class? That works. History is completely and utterly boring. We learn about what mistakes people made in the past and it's all memorizing. I suck at memorizing and the only way I can memorize things is by using flashcards which take too much time to make. So basically, memorizing all these stupid dates and people is a waste of time even if we're learning "the connection" between them. Why do I care that Napoleon invaded Russia? Or that he was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo? So what? Napoleon's dead and gone and it would be so much better to just look at maps of different time periods of the world since humans started living on it. The maps would show what the land looked like at the time and where different peoples started out. It would show how the people came from Africa and walked over to Asia, Europe and the Americas. It would show who was in power at the different times in all the different countries. We could learn so much more things so much more quickly with a map like this. Who cares that Napoleon came to power through a plebiscite? I know I don't. I'd rather learn the complete history of the whole world than learn that Napoleon's parents were nobles but were poor. The type of history we learn now is discriminatory towards basically everyone; grouping people by their nationalities and religions before choosing only the life of one person in a group to study. Everyone's different and I'd rather learn the complete history, without going into details that discriminate. We don't learn that way. We have to memorize random people's (yes they might have been leaders, but who cares?) whole lives and then assume that they represent all these other people. Or we learn about this outcast who is "completely different," "mentally insane," or whatever but we have to learn their whole lives just because they're "strange." Napoleon and Hitler weren't "strange." They wanted power and to force their beliefs on everyone else, but I say that they are normal. Human beings want power and if we suppress this want, we shouldn't be called humans. That's all that people do these days, suppress their wants so that they can be like "everyone else." How is suppressing your identity cool? Yes if more people were like Hitler and Napoleon, more people would be dead, but that's what survival of the fittest is. It doesn't mean, like Hitler thought, that there should only be one race of people, it's that only the strongest, smartest humans should stay alive. In the end, all humans would die out, like we should, and the earth would grow back and fix all the problems that we have created in our world. Ok, maybe not, but at least humans wouldn’t be on the earth to create more problems.

My beautiful rant on everything that came into my mind during the hour of time I had before lunch in directed study. I did this on Friday, fifth period.
